Hi Lisa and welcome ;D You've come to the right place for that kind of information Two of our moderators live in Kent (Bob and Doris) and they should be able to answer your question a bit later on today. ;D

thank you very much for your help and kind welcome. I am new to the world of guinea pigs and am just trying to find somewhere to get advice and knowledge. I would like to join a club but details on the internet seem to be very out of date, so thought going to a show would give me the help I needed, until I found this site. I have 6 little ones in my piggy house and am slightly overprotective of my little brood, and just want to be sure Im doing the right things. I will check out the rest of the threads on the site and I am sure they will cover most of the questions I have.. As for the Show in Higham, is there someone I could contact to get details from? Many thanks for your time. Lisa

By all means have a good rummage around the forum (and the website too), but feel free to ask as many questions as you like - we don't care how daft they may seem. If something is important to you - then the chances are, it is important to somebody else so ask away ;D We are also very supportive of each other here and at the same time we like to have fun, so you are very welcome to join in as little or as much as you like Look forward to seeing you around

Hi Lisa. I found this for you: The Kent Coast Cavy ClubThey seem to have show schedules on there along with showing hints and tips. Feel free to look through the info we have on the forum and also on my main site at www.rodentswithattitude.co.uk. I'm very proud of my members who are all terribly friendly and helpful, so you're more than welcome here and please ask us anything you want to know.

Wow! thank you so much. I've been looking for ages and cant believe I didn't find that site. I will contact them asap. As for this site, it's amazing. It's like your own personal piggipaedia. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading threads and looking at everyones pictures. I will most definitely be here often, so thanks again for all your help. Lisa

Fantastic. thanks Bob. I will keep checking back. Lisa Kent is next in september, its not in the current copy of cavies (which Bob wouldn't of known as it and I were in italy!) When the next copy comes out I will post the details for you. I am afraid the webpage Kate kindly found you is a tad out of date.

Hi Doris, Thank you so much for coming back to me on this. I will wait to hear from you as to the dates. The website was a little out of date and I cant seem to get any reply for Southern Cavy Club. Where will I find the Cavies Mag? Can you buy it in the newsagents, or is it possible to subscribe to it? Thanks again, and I hope you have a good time in Italy. Caio Lisa

Southern cavy club may get back to you but don't hold your breath. The best way to get cavies mag is to subscribe via the winking cavy store website (they also sell lots of other guinea pig related memrobillia) I did have a good time in Italy - full potted history is in daily ramblings in the topic "Doris is off...."
