Ask Yourself This Before You Take On A Guinea Pig Do you know, or are you willing to learn how to care for your guinea pig?
Have you considered a Guinea Pig as a pet for some time or is this a spur of the moment decision?
Do you know the costs of his feed, bedding etc?
Are you prepared to committ to loving and caring for this animal for a possible 6/7 years, as he is to you?
Do you understand Guinea Pigs are not content to live in a hutch without interaction and companionship 24 hours a day?
Are you prepared to buy all the equipment you needed and set it up before you bring your pet home and settle him in?
Have you considered who will care for him if you go on holiday or are ill?
Do you have contact number for local vet in case of illness?

How about allergies? Hair, dander, hay, bedding......... Not good if you get one then realise you should have known you'd be allergic. If you never had any problem before, that's different.....
