It does grow very slooooow!
In that first pic is the day we got Bod, the second pic is a month later. The third pic is a month after that, and the last pic is about 3 months after that, just to give you some idea.

Thats good to know - gives me a better idea of the stages of growth to expect - thought that last pic of Bod was 6 months down the line or something - thats alot of hair to grow in just 3 months!

Thats a total of five months growth, if that makes sense.
Once he'd got to the "looking like a longhaired stage" it grew quite quickly.
You could try giving her corn silks, you might struggle to get them this time of year though.

It's coming along very sloooooowly Thanks so much for asking, Angel says thanks too! We're thinking of making her a wig out of Fluffy Ginger Pigs fur, as he's going to be one heck of a long haired by the looks of it. How was your weekend with your family coming to stay? x A wig sounds like a good idea. Or borrow a hamster from Naomi and pop it on her head as a toupe. ;D The weekend was fun thanks. We've got a thread up about it here and Snailspace should put some pics up soon.

Ha ha! We could put one of the rats on her and then she'd have a snazzy tail too! I will sort out those piccies of her mangled fur for your behaviour page too - it's bath night tonight (she doesen't want her pic taken when shes grubby!)

It's funny, you know. Because I dont know so much about the huge range of piggy styles, I looked at the first picture and thought 'what a lovely piggy, lovely colour and coat'. Then I saw the 'before', and realised what you are going through! I suppose it's like people - there's sweet, pretty, and then there's beautiful!

Tanya, she did have a slight trim to put it midly! Its 3 months of growth in the first 2 pics!
ES, aww thanks - she's still beautiful, but when her coats long like in the last pic, she looks like a moving magic carpet, it's quite bizzarre, mind you I'm not looking forward to all the grooming - she makes a hell of a fuss!
