Who needs to go to Florida when it's this hot in Norfolk! I was a bit surprised as the last forecast I said was for rain today, but no, it's been hot and sunny this afternoon so the boys went for a little outing! I put the towel over to make sure they have lots of shade. Also I'm not sure whether they are a bit scared of the wide expanse of sky! Do you know if piggies can get sunburnt and have you any other advice for outdoor time?

It has been a beautiful day! How funny that the day the clocks go forward the weather becomes so much nicer! Fred (I think?) looks like he was enjoying the sun bless him

Yes, we actually pottered about in the garden for an hour or so - good for the soul. When we had piggies at home (Kate's early ones), we would always provide some shade and somewhere to hide when they were in their run. We also put in some food and water..........just like you did. It was always interesting to watch them sniffing the air and listening, taking in all the unfamiliar smells and sounds as though their senses had suddenly been heightened. Reason for Editing: added a bit

In answer to the sunburn question, yes, they can, on their exposed bits - ie the ears.

Maybe I should put some suncream on them then, after all, red-heads burn more easily To think that last Sunday I posted a photo of the garden in snow....

You can put human sun block on their pink bits! Their ears especially need protecting and their noses too.

In case anyone was wondering - it was back to North Pole Norfolk this weekend. No chance of piggies going out for grass - only me doing it for them!
