This business of the credit crunch making more people unable to keep their pets got me thinking. And after a lot of research last night, and sleeping on it, I've sent an email this morning to see if my local rescue would like me to foster two boars. Or I might even adopt two more...depends what they need. www.guineapig-rehoming-norfolk.co.uk/vikkisarrivals.htm

Well done Jacky, you're a credit to the community. I'm sure your offer will be most welcome and two boars will be on your doorstep with their little suitcases in no time! "Slippery slope" is the gentle way of putting it. I rather found it more of a "slippery slope with extra grease and a knob of butter thrown in".

I have a vision of a very busy cage with Fred saying to George "What's going on, I've 8 bedding down with me, how many you got?" and George replying "actually, I have none bedding down with me - I can't get in my bed for the 10 boars already in there. Must have a quiet word with Mummy!"

I have discussed it with them and explained there's going to be a cage next door and I'll still love them and they'll get plenty of lap time..... Fred looks very worried whereas George just snuggles down.
