whern a piggie flicks his head at your hand?
sometimes when we pet nibbles he will act as If to push our hand up like saying get away fly!
is this a good or bad thing?

Fred does that to me. I think basically he doesnt much like having his head touched. He has become more tolerant of having his nose stroked as he's got older, but he still doesnt like having his crest touched. He prefers just to have his body stroked and sometimes a little scratch behind the ear. He'll get restless when he's had enough too.
Is Nibbles crested (I can't remember!)? George isn't crested and he doesnt mind so much. He'll also sit and purr for ages when being stroked. But it may just be personality and nothing to do with hair.

oh yes. they can be a little feisty if they want to. The head butt is definitely a "get off" signal. I have found though that the "head butter's" in my group like their chin tickled instead, or the back of their ear rubbed. And some, if you go too near their bum, turn round and put their chin on my hand to say "wrong end lady!". They definitely know what they like and dont like. bless them.

I'd agree, it's definately a 'get off' shove

They are all so full of character though aren't they! Gotta love em I said to Kate the other night as she was feeding the high-rise piggies, that the nearest herd to me had actually hurried towards me and even let me stroke their noses or ears, but I was quickly brought down to earth when I realised that the sudden affection and interest only lasted until they realised that I didn't have any food in my hand ...

That happens to me every time I come in from the garden - my boys look so keen and cute.... some of the time I go back out and pick them some grass! Most of the time, actually
