Just curious - I wonder just how big they're going to get! ;D

Interesting question I've just been looking on the Rodents with Attitude website which suggests that they reach maturity at about 10 months and grow to an average of 10-12 inches in length. Of course that depends on the breed as well. I expect you will be receiving more replies from our more experienced members and mods who will elaborate somewhat on this subject Anyway, that's my two penn'orth

They generally stop growing at around a year old. For showing purposes they are considered adult at 8 months.
It really does depend on the piggie, we had one boar who was a whopping 14 inches nose to tail, and then we have Star who is only 11 inches nose to tail.
Some breeds are also bigger than others, Swiss, Rex and aby are all traditionally big piggies.

My boys seemed to stop putting on weight almost exactly on their 1st birthday. At least Fred did, and he's stayed around that weight ever since. He's 1.2kg. George has had a bit of a time of it since then, poor love, but has been back at just below the weight he was then for the last three weeks (1.02kg when he had settled around 1.08 - 1.1)). Maybe he'll get it all back, maybe he will always be a little lighter now.

Thanks for the replies. I guess I've got quite a while to go then til my boys are fully grown! Thank goodness they have a nice big C&C cage to run around in. They still have more squabbles than cuddly moments - well, hardly any cuddly moments. Am I right in thinking they will never get along much better than they do now? They've been living together for 9 weeks now. They haven't given eachother any injuries, there's just lots of squeaking and a few nips. I just hope they don't get any more violent. They have two waterbottles, two food bowls, two places to hide under, and I've tried some Vicks above their noses. Any other suggestions?

Boys will be boys. It sounds like they are getting the pecking order sorted out. If there is no injuries then I would leave them to it. Most boars will let you know if they are not happy living together, and some sows too but full on fighting. Teeth chattering and hackles raised couldn't bare to be next to each other and if they do a full on fight will occur, it does sound like they are just being typical teenage boys. Keep us informed.

Thanks, Emma. Typical teenage boys? Yeah, that sounds about right!
