Decided to give our white haired coronet a bath as frankly he looked v.mucky.
He paddled round the (very shallow) bath loving it, and then sat nice and still while we trimmed the hair around his bum, he had lots of cuddles as we dried him off and we got lots of little squeaks and lots of vibrations which I take to mean he enjoyed it!
It took ages to dry him with the towel, is this ok? Our house is nice and warm and we kept him snuggled in the towel while we did it.
He is currently squeaking and pigging himself on a carrot on my husbands knee.

That sounds great! I'm glad he (and you!) enjoyed it. I have to warn you that my boys appeared to like the first one, but NOT the second!!!
I also dried them off with a towel and they certainly enjoyed the snuggliness of it! But I have acquired a small travel hairdryer now, just to make sure.

We debated a hairdryer but I was nervous he would freak out with one. Hmmm.

You can use a hair dryer, but be very careful, only use it on a low setting and keep it moving so you don't burn them.
I personally use the towel drying method, with all our piggies, but then ours all do live in the house.

Nice to hear his first bath exprience wasn't too bad! I personally use towels to dry them off and yes, it can take a while, especially with the smooth haired variety. I find the Rex don't take as long (so perhaps your Teddy won't take long to dry either) and it's probably because their wirey fur doesn't hold as much water I guess. As Doris says, hairdryers are fine, but move them about and use on low. My trick is if it doesn't burn my hand, then it's okay. I like the idea of a travel dryer as ES suggests, much lighter to hold and I might have to try it!
