Whoever would have thought that something as simple as a humble carpet tube could cause so much excitement!
We introduced a long length of carpet tube into our piggies run on Saturday and they get so excited by it! They run round the edge of the run, through the tube and then out the other end, followed by a popcorn for good measure! I can't get over how something so simple excites them so much.
However, at the moment they haven't worked out that you can go both ways through the tube and only seem to go through it in the one direction! Classic!

ah bless them. we gave ours pieces of drain pipe and the boys went wild for them. They run through them so fast, with no signs of slowing before entering! The funniest thing is finding one in each end. You know whose in charge in that run because of which one has to come out bottom first! we tried the cardboard tube, but they have a habit of pooping in the them, so we changed to the drain pipe as its really easy to clean out and even though they test their teeth on it, they cant actually chew it. They are so entertaining.

Well DC - just take yourself back to when you were about 3 or 4 years old. Now imagine that your parents have given you a very long cardboard tube...........big enough to stand up in and long enough to play 'trains going through tunnels' in Now doesn't that sound more than a little bit exciting? Heeheehee My experience of young kids is that (more often than not) they get lots more fun out of the box that the expensive toy arrived in. And aren't piggies just like little children.......

About five years ago I played hiding in a box that a dining room chair had come in with my firends duaghter then aged 3. I dont think anyone could believe that I could get into such a small box, let alone both of us! It was a great game.
I think my boys like tunnels most of all.
