Hi, So sorry, asking so many questions. I'm just trying to get prepared for when they arrive, i want to make their lives very nice for them, lol. ;D
I was wondering, is it essential to bath your gp's? I thought it was like every couple of months but i don't think my friend washes hers and some people have told me they don't need baths. I think i should but has anyone else got any other thoughts?

Try checking out the 'How often do piggies need a bath?' thread in the Bathing, Grooming and Nail Clipping section

I know alot of people with short haired guinea pigs who do not bath piggies but i bath my short haired every 6 - 8 weeks or as often as they need to be really ie poop on feet n botty to keep them smelling nice and clean also i use Johnson's Insecticidal Shampoo so helps keep the bugs away but long haired piggies need attention with all grooming or they will becoming matted and in a very sorry mess. very quickly. this is my opinion but im sure a more experience member will come along asap to give you their help and experience too sarah xx

Like Sarah says if they look like they need it. And some of them really love it. I no longer do willow in the trug but in the bath and she does 'lengths' for as long as you let her.

We do bath ours a fair bit because we show, but generally every couple of months or when they look like they could do with one. Some love it (late Bicy - he did a sponsored swim for children in need!), Star, Gabriel (surprisingly) all love it. The late Rolo was take it or leave it, and Lupin-Buckmore hates it, how dare you get his feet wet!!
