Do Fred or George take a newspaper or copy of Pigmopolitan with them I have this picture in my mind of Fred leaving the tray with his magazine saying to George "I'd leave it 10 minutes if I were you" I am so happy you joined the forum you make me smile. Tanya

Peruvian V Sheltie Litter Tray Herd Diary Day 9 And the peruvians are the winners. They have all gotten it and in only 8-9 days to. The Shelites are not to far behind with two not there yet. So in order that they did get. Peruvians tonight and the Shelites when all of them have it. In first place we have, Penny Then Tinkerbell Then Shadow And on the same day her little girl Dot Then Cosette And then Jessa who is a bit shy. I have two that i think that the ones that got it first showed the others, So having a piggie that had had a tray before helped as in both the cages the piggies that had done it before were the first to get it. Next update as soon as the Shelties get it. but feel free to ask me anything about it in the meen time. Tanya Reason for Editing: typo

Nice one Tanya. Do you suppose winner Penny will remember her new found skill? I'm 100% going to try litter trays now. As soon as I find one I'll start testing and let you know how it goes. I'll be using your tried and tested tactics! I hope it'll save me some money in bedding if they're doing their business in a tray instead of every inch of the hutch or pen!! (as for my father joining the forum, I think I can safely say my mother and I are immune to him now )

I've worked out why George isnt using the litter tray, but always doing it just outside....Fred won't let him in! I watch them have a real scrum for it this morning which ended up with Fred kicking George out and George sheepishly doing his business beside it. So that sounds like I need two litter trays. Picky!

It's this sort of story (and lots of others like it on this forum) that really endear guinea pigs! I think you need two litter trays, two chewproof copies of celebrity sow centrespread monthly (replaced on a regular basis of course) and a couple of mini plasma TVs. That should do it on the bribery front. The boys will be living in their litter trays though I suppose they might short out the TVs if they're not careful

So you think that now the rugby season is over, the Sports section of the Sunday newspaper just isnt doing it for them?? Somebody did suggest I rig up a webcam so I can watch them when I'm sitting up at my computer, but I thought giving them a nice big run in my office would work better. I think they would make good office boys, don't you?

I think they would make good office boys, don't you? Probably great portable shredders - maybe there is a business in that somewhere. Mind you, the boys are star quality and so, as their agent in absentia, I would want to negotiate suitably remunerated managerial positions for them.... .
