Do you know the breed and colour of your guinea pig? ;D Post photographs on this thread if you would like us to tell you what your guinea pig is! There are many knowledgable members here and chances are, we'll have a pretty good idea what colour and breed your pet is!

Well, I may have it down already, but with Pumba being my first Guinea Pig I could be wrong. My guess since I have had him is an Albino for color, and breed Abyssinian. Though I am not sure if Albino would be the correct term. :/

He is a Pink Eyed white, aby cross. He does not have enough rosettes to be a full aby so he must be crossed with a smooth coated piggie Albinos are very rare. A pink eyed white is genetically a red or a black with extra genes to supress the colour, thus making them white.

I agree with Doris. PE White Abyssinian X. I have a DE (dark eyed) White Abyssinian X and she's a stunner. Her name is Yumi - here she is:

First piggie looks to be either Teddy or Rex, and would say tortioseshell and white for colour (but mismarked)
The second, tricolour (Lilac gold and white) sheltie cross.

If she was a properly marked tortorise shell and white, she would have equal squares of colour down both sides, with oposite colours. So say for aguments sake she had black on her right side for the top of the three squares, she would have to have either red or white the other side.

Mismarked is a "nearly" version of a colour pattern. Dutch guinea pigs for example have an equal sized patch of colour over each eye and their bottom is the same colour, while the rest of their body is white. A mismarked Dutch would be reminiscent of the proper Dutch colouring with perhaps some wonky eye patches or another colour or marking thrown in, for example. I would say Mr Ted is a scruffy Rex as his fur looks remarkably like the fur on a couple of my "bitsa" pigs. He would be classed as a non-show quality Rex because his coat looks to be too soft and slightly too long to be a pure bred Rex. He'd be fine in pet classes however. I agree with Doris' guess that Tilly is a Sheltie X as she's got the long fur that falls in the classic Sheltie way. See the breeds page on the main site to see some pics of a Sheltie.

The rexy looking one could also be a teddy, but can't tell without feeling
