Good news so far!! ;D (for those of you who have been following my new intoduction of 6 week old Theo to 18mth old Roger) Let them get to know each other in a neutral space for a few mins at a time over the last few days - all went quite well - the initial rumbling, chasing and mounting gradually reduced so that they would in the end just sit by one another. So today was the day of the intro of Theo to Roger's cage! Made sure I gave it a thorough cleaning to get rid of Roger's bachelor pad smells - there was a bit of rumbling and chasing when I first put them back in, but now (approx 2 hours later) they have settled completely - so much so that Roger even let Theo in his Pigloo with him for a while! (which is much more than the girls do Poppy always nudges poor Rosie out!) So, fingers crossed it will carry on like this....will let you know!

Wonderful news!!! I'm so glad it's going smoothly so far. Keeping my fingers crossed for you all and I hope they become friends. Also glad to hear you've cleaned the cage out first, always a good idea to neutralise the pongs on these occasions! You're doing well so keep up the good work and I'm looking forward to the next update. Have a carrot!

Thanks guys - there has been the odd bit of Benny Hill Style chasing round the cage this afternoon , very amusing! Apart from that tho, still good! I know it could all still go wrong (and have prepared my husband for the fact their may have to be 3 permanent cages in the conservatory!), but am really hoping they will be friends!!

Early days, but it's all sounding optimistic at the moment. At least they haven't had a free for all yet If push really did come to shove though, you could always have both boars neutered and stick with two hutches - each with a happy couple. Just a thought....... Always good to have a Plan B ready and then the chances are that Plan A will actually work

Thanks again guys. Good idea about having them both neutered if it doesn't wok out - hadn't thought of that! . Just about to get them out and put them in their new (huge) indoor run (it's so big even me and the kids can climb in the little door at the side and sit inside it with them!- to be honest, not sure who is enjoying it more - the piggies or my kids!!! Will update again soon....

Well, a week and a half on and the boys seem to be getting on really well! They seem to be friends now - Roger even seems a bit protective over Theo, running up to him when we go in for a cuddle! I know there is still a chance it could all go wrong, but fingers crossed.....!
