I think thank Guineapoo (Thanks, Ell) I've now got fleece in the upstairs run for my boys, but havent washed it yet - its going to be some time this week that's for sure. They only come up here once or twice a week when I'm working a fullday. ...and thanks to you EB I read the whole thread for the first time for ages - that £55 of megazorb I mentioned has now done 6 months and I think I've still got two sacks left so will be at least seven, possibly eight.... Mind you, I have discovered the boys poo more during the day than they do at night, so rolling up the contents of the fleece and shaking it on the garden saves on at least four scoops of megazorb a day!

I have been using fleece for Digby and Ruby also Bernie and its great. Bernie thinks its fantastic and licks it he was on woodshavings in his previous home so this must be a big difference for him. Its easy to wash and dries very fast so I always have a pile of fresh fleece to use

I washed mine this morning and it's come up lovely - not even a sign of beetroot pee as Georgie rather OD'd on the beetroot peelings I gave them yesterday. (his poos look just like mini beetroots!)
The first time they were on it Fred stood in the middle and tried to pick it up with his teeth, and was rather surprised when all the things around him moved!

Beetroot pee.... Is this the first time you've washed fleece? How long have you been using it and does it replace your old bedding completely, or is it just a patch of fleece for them to snuggle in?

The first time since they've been using it, yes. It covers the floor of the upstairs run, which they have used four times. I've been sweeping up the droppings and shaking them out, but the pee spots were negligable - I did spot Fred using his litter tray on one occasion . But Tuesday I noticed them peeing wherever they fancied!! The newspaper underneath seemed to have done a good job, even though as you've said before newspaper isnt particularly absorbent. I replaced about half the newspaper - it does make it easy to see where they've been and identify whether it's in the shelter, by the hay, etc! (At the end of the blue tunnel by the hay seems to be the favoured spot).
