We went back to see the vet today. The infection has spread down his chest and over his hind legs, so the vet and I shaved him (it was my suggestion)! Weedy is now bald from his chin down to between his front legs and the underside of his hind legs are also bald. The vet gave me some special shampoo (strong stuff apparently, I forget the name). So in a nutshell, he's been shaved, has to have regular baths in the special shampoo, needs Canesten up his bottom, spoon feeding with vegetable sludge, Sudocrem on his chest and 2 days of antibiotics, followed by 5 days rest, and then another 7 days of antibiotics after that!!!!! Poor sod, he's really fed up now.

George has just broken out in a cold sweat thinking of it. We have every sympathy for you and Weedy. George's hair has grown back really quickly....so we wish Weedy luck and tell him chin up and all those sorts of things. Could be worse - he's not being stabbed and squished. Although things stuck up your bum every day cant be too much fun either.
