Well...haha seems like everyone has pretty much surrounded it but ya they do make some noise but I think also after they learn your schedule and when everyone goes to bed then they quiet down a little bit. Actually mine have learned since no one is around and walking that they can sleep as well. Some nights are a little louder than some but I feed them there veggies are night and that makes their bellies full and happy. As for affectionate....DEFIANTELY! I have a couple who know me and will come and and want me to pick them up...its cute!

My daughters piggies stay in her room, and the only time they are really loud are when it's dinner time . Other then that they are quiet. You may hear them purr, and chit chat with each other a bit, but at night they usually go to bed . I myself have a boy named Chewie, and his roommate is Spencer, that's my youngest daughters piggie. They have there moments of your invading my space, but then they get over it, and just hang out together. I think you'll love having guinea pigs, they are adorable. I got hooked on them when my daughter asked for one on her birthday, and from there we have never been without one, and needless to say, now we have six guinea pigs ;D. They are a joy to have. I agree with the others also, guinea pigs are very loving, and so cute when they popcorn or purr.

I'd say they are more affectionate than a cat. The majority of ours groom us, you don't get that with a cat There is nothing else quite like sitting infront of the tele and a piggie Dont let my Purrdy see this post Doris he will sulk for a week. (but i think you are right) Tanya
